Dr.Ratika Sharma and her staff are amazing! This was my first dentist visit in almost two years, Dr.Sharma made the entire process painless and was very professional and thorough; she told me exactly what procedures I would need and what to expect. I got a general cleaning done and she made sure to ask me multiple times during the cleaning if I was comfortable and was doing okay.Her assistant was also great; she provided a lot of helpful oral hygiene tips and answers all of my questions.They have Netflix in every room and ask you if you'd like to choose a movie or TV show to watch while you're getting your dental work done 🙂 The location is in the heart of downtown Livermore with plenty of parking and good restaurants within walking distance. Thank you Dr.Sharma!

"OK for the record I live in California part time. I was not very happy with my previous dentist, and I'm due for my cleaning. My wife made me an appointment with sparkle dental as she has heard wonderful things about the practice. Although I'm in my 40s I still have to be dragged to the dentist kicking and screaming.  As I walked into their clinic I was immediately greeted by the staff. The waiting room was comfortable and very clean yet it didn't look overly sterile and creepy.After I filled out a brief health history form I was immediately escorted to the back with minimal wait time. Meeting Dr. Sharma was an absolute pleasure. She is so pleasant, professional and extremely charismatic. So knowledgeable, extremely supportive and gives great suggestions.  I was pleasantly surprised that she handled my cleaning herself. I was dreading the whole gum probing with a sharp object thing, I was relieved to find out that she has such a gentle and soft touch that there was no discomfort during the examination or during the cleaning. I was extremely satisfied with the results.  I walked out of the dental office feeling very happy and looking forward to coming back. I can do this every six months. I'm recommending my two daughters to come here, my wife has her appointment next week. We actually have a "family dentist" now! I highly recommend Dr. Sharma and her staff at Sparkle dental. They get five out of five stars without reservation."

"My boyfriend and I visited the office for a cleaning on a Saturday afternoon (Yes, they're open on Saturdays!). The office is located in a very nice area in Livermore with ample parking. As we entered the office, which is located on the second floor of the building, we were very surprised to find ourselves in a very clean, chic, modern style office and waiting area. What I immediately noted was that you are not greeted by that distinct dentist office smell in the air, if you know what I mean. As one reviewer mentioned, they use an aroma diffuser, which really added to the ambience of the office and also calmed my nerves as I don't typically like visiting the dentist. Dr. Ratika Sharma came out to introduce herself to us. She was very sweet. She shook our hands, and then offered us some coffee and cold water bottles from the kitchenette area. What other dentist offers coffee right before your dental exam and cleaning? After filling out the typical paperwork and questionnaires, it was time for our dental exam starting with X-rays. Dr. Sharma's assistant was very nice and explained everything before proceeding with the X-rays. Before starting the X-rays, her assistant asked me if there was any particular show or movie I wanted to watch on Netflix and handed me a remote. I was impressed that there was a large screen TV, angled perfectly in front of me as I was lying back, which I could watch anything on Netflix on during my exam and cleaning. I'm sure having the Netflix available is a lifesaver for parents with small children as it is an easy distraction. Having the Netflix on, I was very relaxed during my X-rays and the assistant was very gentle during the process. I got to view my X-rays instantly which popped up on the screen next to me. All the equipment used was very new and high tech. After the X-rays, Dr. Sharma came and discussed what she saw on the X-rays (No cavities!) and then went on to explain the gum examination. During this exam, which can be a little uncomfortable, Dr. Sharma frequently checked on me and asked if I had any pain or sensitivity. This was probably the least painful gum exam I've had, maybe because I was so distracted watching my Netflix series. She then went on to clean and floss my teeth and again, Dr. Sharma frequently checked if I was uncomfortable or in pain. She was very gentle with her hands and made sure nothing was hurting me. At the end of the cleaning, Dr. Sharma was going to paint fluoride on my teeth which means no eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes. After telling Dr. Sharma of our plans to grab food and ice cream after our appointment, she skipped this step, and instead sent me home with the fluoride kit which I painted on my teeth myself that night. I found this very convenient. As we walked out, Dr. Sharma handed both me and my boyfriend a baggie filled with toothpaste, floss, a toothbrush, and our favorite item in the bag, chapstick! Gotta rehydrate those lips after that cleaning! Overall, we had an awesome experience at Sparkle Dental Office. I highly recommend Dr. Sharma and her team. If you've been dreading to see a dentist or have been traumatized with dentists in the past, make an appointment at Sparkle Dental. You're in good hands here."
